Outreach Exhibit at Lakehead University
The Thunder Bay Museum partners with the Department of History at Lakehead University to produce local history exhibits for people visiting and attending Lakehead University.
This exhibit is located on the third floor of the Ryan building. Currently on display is “Salvaging Shipwrecks,” an exhibit telling the stories of three Lake Superior shipwrecks: the Algoma, the Rappahannock, and the Neebing. It highlights the process of recovering these wrecks and the career opportunities that exist in shipwrecks. Curated by Caitlyn Slaubaugh, student in the Department of English; with support from staff of the Thunder Bay Museum.
If you’re interested in pursuing a community placement with the department of history please contact Dr. Nathan Hatton at [email protected].
