Dale has lived in Thunder Bay since 1978, when she moved here to complete a Bachelor of Education degree at Lakehead University.  She is also a graduate of McMaster University, and spent her working career at the Ministry of Transportation managing a multi-faceted portfolio which included road construction and maintenance, permit issuance, land development application review, emergency management, radio communication operations, issue management, and staff development and training.  Her work spanned Northwestern Ontario, from the Manitoba border to west of White River.  Dale’s experience includes program development and delivery, tendering, contract management and stakeholder engagement. 

Dale is a past member of the Civil Engineering Technology Program Advisory Committee at Confederation College.

Since retiring in 2016, Dale has undertaken volunteer roles at her church, serving on the Advisory Board since 2020, and most recently as a Deputy Warden. Dale joined the Thunder Bay Historical Museum Society’s Board of Directors in 2022 and currently serves as Secretary.
