Dr. Brandon Cordeiro was born in Thunder Bay. He is currently a sessional/contract lecturer teaching American and Canadian history at Lakehead University. Brandon holds a PhD from McMaster University, in the Wilson Institute for Canadian History, and an MA from Lakehead University. Brandon’s research focuses on Canada, modernity, and the nuclear age. His other research interests include industry, development, the environment, and Northern Ontario. He has authored several articles and conference papers that explore the history of hydroelectricity, nuclear power, and nuclear waste, as well as its impact on communities in Northwestern Ontario.
