Mary Jane MacDonald

Mary Jane is a multidisciplinary artist, art heritage professional and fashion researcher.
Her research explores sustainability in many facets of the fashion industry with a focus on strategies for textile waste reduction that promote social and economic development in Canadian municipalities.
Her art practice is devoted to redeveloping human relationships with nature through embroidery, photography and textile creation.
MaryJane has a BA in Fine Arts from Lakehead University, a graduate certificate in Cultural Heritage Conservation and Management from Fleming College and recently completed her Master’s in Fashion from Toronto Metropolitan University.
