This suit of armour was actually never worn and was used as a prop in Andrew Coffey’s menswear store “Andrew Coffey’s Gentleman’s Apparel” at 110 Brodie St. North. Coffey would go on to open 6 stores in Thunder Bay and became a prominent philanthropist. Fun fact about armour, in medieval times, a full suit of armour could weigh up to 110 pounds!
