This is a German gas mask from the Second World War. It was taken from Pont De L’Arche, France on August 28th, 1944. Pont De L’Arche is a city in the Normandy region of France. Pont De L’Arche was liberated by the Allies from Nazi occupier on August 24th, 1944. This mask is a remnant of the history of the area and the battle that took place there.
